You know that feeling when you have to go to a meeting, but you just can’t bear to put on your pants? Or leave the house in general? Well, thanks to Zoom, you don’t have to! This video conferencing platform has revolutionized the way we work, communicate, and socialize – all without ever having to leave the comfort of our own homes.

Spotlight On: ZOOM – image 1

Zoom was founded in 2011 by a guy named Eric Yuan, who wanted to create a video conferencing platform that was easy to use and reliable, and boy did he hit the jackpot. Zoom quickly became the go-to platform for virtual meetings, online classes, and even happy hours (because who would want to go out and socialize when you can do it from the comfort of your own home?)

Also, it’s impossible to not talk about Zoom’s prominence during the pandemic. When COVID hit, everyone and their grandma suddenly needed a way to communicate remotely, and Zoom was there to save the day. They went from 10 million daily meeting participants in December 2019 to a whopping 300 million in April 2020! What company can say they multiplied their customers by 30-fold in four months?

Zoom’s appeal isn’t just about fun and games though. They’ve also introduced important innovations like “Zoom Rooms,” which make it easier for businesses to set up conference rooms specifically designed for Zoom meetings. And their screen recording feature has been a game-changer for company executives that need to be able to remember how good they looked in their meetings.

But it wasn’t always smooth sailing for Zoom. They had to overcome some serious competition from established players like Cisco Webex and Microsoft Teams. And don’t forget about those pesky security concerns, like “Zoom bombing” attacks from hackers trying to ruin everyone’s fun. But Zoom got their act together and implemented new security measures, which made everyone feel a lot better about using their platform.

Overall, Zoom’s brand image is all about simplicity, approachability, and reliability. They want people to feel confident and empowered when using their platform, whether they’re a business executive or a grandparent who needed a little help with the tech, Zoom is the company for everyone.
